From November 25-27, 2024, MySEF conducted its annual event called MySEF ISO/IEC17025:2017 & Implementation Updates Workshop 2024 at Le Méridien Hotel, IOI Putrajaya.

The main objectives of the workshop were:

  1. To assist new staff in becoming familiar with the working environment.
  2. To extend the program to existing staff as a refresher course.
  3. To familiarize staff with the Quality Management System (QMS), policies, manuals, procedures, and other related documents.
  4. To fulfill MySEF’s obligations to its staff by providing the necessary information to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

The workshop was designed to ensure that both new and existing staff are up-to-date with the latest standards of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and are equipped to effectively implement and follow the required procedures and systems within the organization in a safe and compliant manner.

In addition, the workshop also provided an opportunity to gather improvements and suggestions from staff, allowing the laboratory to collect valuable feedback for continuous improvement. This feedback process helps ensure that staff have a platform to share their insights and recommendations, which can be used to enhance the lab’s operations, procedures, and overall performance. By engaging staff in this way, MySEF can drive ongoing improvements and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the organization

To make the workshop more interactive and engaging, games and presentations were incorporated into the program. These activities were designed to break up the usual flow of training sessions and keep participants interested and motivated. The inclusion of fun, interactive elements helped create a dynamic learning environment, making the workshop more enjoyable and less monotonous. By doing so, MySEF ensured that participants were not only absorbing important information but also actively participating and collaborating, which enhanced the overall learning experience.

Cooperation from staff is essential to ensure the program runs smoothly. Their active participation and engagement in the workshop are key factors in its success. By working together, staff can contribute to creating a more effective learning environment, providing valuable feedback, and ensuring that all objectives are met efficiently. When everyone collaborates, the overall experience becomes more enriching and productive, benefiting both the organization and its staff in the long run.

The program ended successfully and received positive feedback from the staff. Participants expressed satisfaction with the workshop’s content, interactive elements, and the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions. The cooperative atmosphere and engaging activities helped ensure that staff not only gained valuable knowledge but also enjoyed the learning process. This positive response reflects the effectiveness of the program in achieving its objectives and fostering a productive, collaborative environment within the organization.
